Willwriting Services London came to my agency in search of a branding refresh. We initially explored alternative logo options, though in the end we stuck with their existing one positioned alongside an all-new website and visual language based on some photography tricks.

I leaned on the "for your family" aspect of wills as a product, implying meaning through smart use of layout and photography. I laid out a series of photos of a family on a beach and positioned them to maximise the emotional impact they could provide - in one instance cropping the parents' heads out along the top boundary of the page and in another making sure their shadows were cast alone across the back cover.
The brand is still in use to this day, 7 years later, with only minor updates.

WSL has one of my favourite logos I ever designed - the fountain pen in a shirtsleeve. I love hinting at a double meaning with a bit of negative space and I thought this was such an elegant solution. Sadly the client didn't choose it, but such is life in design!
